Happy Halloween from a 1970s Childhood

The stuff of my childhood nightmares: Everything above, Mutually Assured Destruction, night-time shadow monsters and snakes, the dark bit in Super Man II, the lift that took you down to be eaten by Ovion Alien's in Battlestar Galactica, the picture of a three headed devil dog in my brother's book of Sci-Fi art, Uncle Deadly in The Muppets and the unexpected bit at the end of Strawberry Field's Forever.

It progressed to a dull dread of disco dancing, dying before I finish my three books, the collapse of society before we get a chance to make it all much better and public speaking. Happy Halloween!

Image of a giant three headed hell-hound, Cerberus, two heads looking about, one with teeth exposed, snarling. A space craft seems to be making an emergency manoeuvre to get away. From The Fifth Head of Cerberus by Gene Wolfe.
