Switch Adapted Wii Remote

Switch Adapted Wii Remote from Broadened Horizons.Broadened Horizons (aka Gimp Gear) have recently added a switch adapted Wii Remote to their Video Gaming Accessibility area. This allows gamers to strap a Wii remote to their arm and activate the A button and the B trigger using plug in switches or sensors.

This won't suit all games, but should open up the likes of Wii Sports to more gamers. Grand work.

I just thought I should update you that we made some improvements a while back and have expanded lineup of accessible Nintendo Wii controls. We actually have the A & B as well as the 1 & 2 buttons switch adapted to support a wider variety of games including Mario Kart and similar racing games (which work great with our new bite switch).

With the optional GimpGear Wiimote Hat the Wii can be played with head control only! Aiming by head control actually is easier and more accurate with shooting games such as Resident Evil.

We have also added a Switch Adapted Wireless Nunchuck to support lots of the more complex games. We add a little 1.5 inch joystick extension for games that require utilizing the joysticks such as for moving the character or flying an airplane so that it can be done with chin or lip control. To properly position the nunchuck it can be placed on our 3rd Hand Gaming Chin Control Mount which clamps rates of the wheelchair armrest, bed rail, or the edge of the desk. With this combination in the Wiimote on that, utilizing one of our new Sip and Puff switches, and our Roughneck Dual Pushbutton Switches I was playing Prince of Persia which is again with rather complex controls.

The Switch Adapted Wiimote on the Hat also works with the Wiimote PC Mouse Control Package which allows you to use the Wiimote as a head mouse controller either with the motion sensing capabilities or the infrared position sensor utilizing a special USB Sensor Bar I created specifically sized for distances used on a PC.

We even offer a comprehensive 2 Player Ultimate Competition Package for Rehabilitation and Demo/Loan Centers, Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Etc.
